If you don’t think you would like New Girl, I would like to disagree
New Girl is one of my favorite shows on TV right now and I use this scene to prove why whenever I come across someone not willing to give it a chance
Nick is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters on TV. This scene (and episode) is aces.
This is like an episode of The Chris Gethard Show in 1:12. We begin with our main guy hunched over and rubbing his temples, a random dude shows up and irritates him, the established protagonist calls him out on being creepy, then gets weird with him and slowly warms to him, starts talking about anger issues, goes into an X or Y question THAT INVOLVES FISHES, calls the random dude a weirdo again, performs a strange physical feat, gets dark by talking about his fear of death, has an existential crisis and a revelation about self-sabotaging behaviors.
BOOM.
