Paul Fusco | RFK Train

After he was assassinated in 1968 — the same year Martin Luther King, Jr. was felled by a sniper’s bullet, and just five years after his brother, John, was killed by Lee Harvey Oswald — a funeral train carried Robert Kennedy’s body from New York City to Washington, D.C.  Photographer Paul Fusco was aboard that train, capturing images of some of the estimated one million people who came to watch and pay their final respects as the train passed.

About

Avatar The blog formerly known as Minty Fresh 2.0. Thoughts, quotes and tidbits that I find while traipsing about the intertubes. I tend to treat this as my internet scrapbook, so there's no telling what might show up. If you're new here, welcome! Make yourself at home, the bourbon's over there.
