Storycorps this morning featured my uncle's brother and one of his patients.
It’s typically wonderful, made even more so by knowing Dempsey.
ETA: The uncle in question is an uncle via marriage, so his brother is not another uncle. Or is he? This kind of stuff confuses me.
I’m fascinated by the Hourly News app. It’s like comparing front pages of all the different news radio stations.
Also it starts with NPR and BBC, so if I’m short on time it’s a great way to get up to date on what happened overnight with the quickness.
I’m sad because the iTunes update (10.6) has done something to the radio feature and I can’t listen to WUSF in my room now.
Booooo, iTunes. Booooooo.

According to the codes used by hospitals to indicate specific injuries for insurance purposes, there are nine different ways you can be injured by a turtle.
Among them: struck by turtle, bitten by turtle. Also very dangerous: macaws, cows and chicken. There are three codes for the three different ways you can be bitten by a dolphin.

Seems like I always miss the best Tiny Desk Concerts in person. Still kicking myself about Buke and Gass, which made the most memorable list. And it figures I would be on vacation for Low and Fountains of Wayne, two of my all-time favorites.
I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve watched the Avett Tiny Desk. Phoenix is another one I usually have at the ready.
