Q:I just finished listening to the Fresh Air broadcast interview of Sir Paul McCartney. Michele Norris should be taken to task! Her style is agitating & I'm sick if listening to her destroy potentially interesting interviews. Not only are her sophomoric questions & comments insulting to the audience, but one begins to feel sympathy for the interviewee - they must have patience with her mundane idiocy. I know several high school-aged youngsters who could have conducted this much better!

This episode of WTF is perfection.
What is going on in Oakland?
On the micro, interpersonal level, the highpoint of last night’s drama took place around 7:45 PM, when two protesters standing in the street were hit by a man driving a Mercedes. According to the Mercury News, the driver had been “irritated” by the protesters and just stepped on the gas. Nice display of heartless one percenter behavior, Mercedes guy!
Onlookers said the driver deliberately ran over the pair, accelerating after a man hit on the hood of the car.
The windshield was splattered with what appeared to be a milkshake.
After the car stopped at the other end of the intersection, the driver switched seats with his female passenger.
About 40 people gathered in the intersection and some pulled open the driver’s door.
The woman inside shouted: “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry!”
The injured man and woman were taken away in ambulances.
Police let the driver go.
Because why wouldn’t you?

Podcast Potpourri
Times are tough, and cheap entertainment can be hard to find. Podcasts are usually free (or very cheap, on the rare occasion there’s a price tag involved), easy to access and you can find one on just about any topic you can think of. Comedy podcasts in particular seem to be taking over the world lately, with many (Like The Nerdist and Comedy Bang Bang) being turned into TV shows and launching careers. Check out our guide to last week’s hottest podcasts.
